Just a quick FYI. The Agenda view actually goes back 30 days (or 4 weeks maybe) which I think is just perfect :D .
Today is Feb 17 and I can view everything to Mar 16 (St. Patrick's Day in the USA).

Thanks for your continued updates and look forward to the next version.

No problems to try out something new, but on the other side the long tab is well proofen and not too bad in my opinion. "Shaking" would be a great option, maybe you can make a setting to assign different actions to "shaking", than nobody could complain. And the same for the long tab possibilitiy to assign different options on that one as well.

On the hd2 there is a screen shot available via "shaking" so this could interfear maybe (I have never used it so far so I cannot give more detailed feedback on this option)

Please!!!

@all:
The next update will also bring some scrolling smoothnes improvements again especially for wvga/vga screens and some more fixes.
I will try to complete it by the weekend.

Thanks again for your feedback and suggestions! :D

But I know, it should have been on board for a long time.

No problem, as long as I can name the pub... :? Cool, can't wait!

But wouldn't it be hard to use your finger to navigate a color spectrum? The most important ThumbCal feature for me is not having to use my stylus for anything. Doubling the number of dots would be OK I suppose, but trying to fine tune colors on a spectrum could get complicated. Setting a spectrum as an option would be OK also, so long as I wouldn't be required to use it.

No, you would select a colour from the spectrum only once when you assign it to a category. For this action you can use a stylus. When you select a date you only at the category with your thumb (which is then associated with the before selected colour).
Why I very much want this spectrum ? Because I have roughly 12 different categories and under a black overall skin some colours are very hard to see or to tell apart from eachother. So I would like to do some refinement while selecting a colour.

- advanced recurrence pattern editor (puh, that was a fun..., I hope, everthing is as it should work now. Documentation for this is not the best or I am not smart enough.)

There are quite some words and phrases that need to be translated especially for recurrence patterns. At the moment, if you don't use english language you may get a bit of language salad in some views... ;)

It works a charm! A million thanks!!!!!!! (And once you're in Berlin let me know and I'll get you perfectly drunk! )
There's some German text in the recurrance pattern editor (Letzter instead of Last).
s.l.i wrote:Please let me know your thoughts about the new date/time/timespan pickers. Are they useful or is it just a nice looking toy?

I find it moves too fast - had to scroll backwards and forwards several times until I got the time correct. Other than that I like it. Maybe it just takes a bit more practice.

Didn't have the opportunity to test the other improvements/changes. Will report back if/when I can say more.

Thanks a lot for this beautiful program. From my side it is nearly perfect now!

Thanks for these improvements! :D
Works great on my MDA vario IV, besides this: In the simple agenda view the timelines are incorrect and sometimes missing at all. OK in the normal agenda and the week view also in the split month view.
Bug ?

The program works quite well on my HD. I think the scrolling could be improved a little bit on the settings/appointments menu. They´re a bit "non-natural", I mean, sometimes they don´t look kinetic responsive.

The new date/time scrolling are amazing! The only thing I didn´t like about them is those red lines. It would be better if they were gray or black.

By the way, PLEASE, make better instructions for skinnig. We need a more detailed skinning guide. It´s quite hard to figer out everything about the skin.ini (at least it takes a loooong time). I spend a whole afternoon to make nice looking buttons to the botton bar, because the file you shared months ago on xda forum wasn´t the right size.

Another thing, the icons found inside the appointments and settings menu aren´t vga. They look so poor. Thubmcal is the best calendar program outside for WM, however, needs some more gorgeus looking.

Please, understand that I´m not criticising your skills, I´m just making sugestions, because I want to see Thumbcal even better!

Regards,

Helder.
